Arcadis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our team in Los Angeles. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for the administration of Caltrans construction contracts and reviewing the work of contractor forces in accordance with the Caltrans Construction Manual and all governing specifications.

The ideal candidate will have approximately ten years of experience in Construction Management of Heavy Civil Engineering projects, with at least three years of supervisory experience in the management of major construction contracts of similar size and scope. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer are also required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing the progress of the work to ensure compliance with the contract documents, including progressive monitoring of materials and methods used, inspection of the finished products, and measurement and payment of contractor forces. Additionally, they will be responsible for proactively reviewing contract documents to anticipate, identify, and/or prepare any change orders needed to resolve conflicts and/or recommend improvements.

The Senior Construction Manager will also be responsible for ensuring the safety of Construction Management employees, State employees, and Contractors employees, as well as the traveling public, by observing contractor operations and traffic conditions, making recommendations, and taking corrective action when necessary.

Key qualifications include experience as a Resident Engineer, Construction Manager, or Project Manager on a State Highway System project of at least $30 million, prior experience with construction/operations on a State Highway, and a valid California Class C driver's license.
