Key Responsibilities:


The Clinical Informatics Specialist - Nursing Education and Support (LSS) integrates nursing expertise with healthcare technology to design and deliver critical training content for clinical systems. This role encompasses the development of educational materials across various formats, including virtual, automated, and in-person training sessions.

This position also provides essential support during the implementation of new clinical technologies, ensuring a smooth transition for staff and enhancing user competency.


Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and facilitating engaging training programs that align with adult learning principles.
  • Utilizing tools such as Snag-it, Camtasia, and Microsoft Office 365 to develop educational content.
  • Managing training documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Delivering on-site support during technology rollouts and providing just-in-time training as needed.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to assess and enhance clinical workflows and technology needs.


This role requires the ability to travel to various Fairview locations for training and support activities, as well as flexibility to work off-shift hours as necessary.


Qualifications:


Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience, including recent technology implementation.
  • Experience in developing training materials and utilizing learning management systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to navigate complex situations with analytical and problem-solving skills.


Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Experience in creating training curriculum and leading multiple technology implementations.
  • Industry certifications such as AACN, HIMSS, or similar credentials.
