Job Title: Substation Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to oversee power distribution for our entire manufacturing facility and two office buildings. This position will be responsible for managing electrical systems from substations (13,000v) down to low voltage (480v), ensuring reliable and efficient power distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, maintain, and manage the electrical distribution systems across the facility and office buildings, including 13,000v to 480v power.
  • Perform routine electrical preventive maintenance (PMs) to ensure continuous and reliable power supply.
  • Collaborate with contractors and external vendors on electrical system upgrades, repairs, and installations.
  • Manage and oversee electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and under budget.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures for electrical operations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with other departments to support the facility's power needs and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical systems, including wiring schematics, maintenance logs, and project documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience working with electrical power distribution systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of high voltage (13,000v) to low voltage (480v) electrical systems and substations.
  • Proven experience in managing electrical projects and working with contractors.
  • Familiarity with electrical preventive maintenance and safety protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external contractors.
