We are in search of skilled, self-driven individuals with experience in commercial, industrial, and municipal water and wastewater pumping and treatment systems, including construction, installation, repair, and maintenance.

Role Summary: The ability to diagnose, maintain, and repair water and wastewater treatment facility equipment, along with executing routine and emergency mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs. Responsibilities also include the installation of new equipment and overseeing start-up and testing procedures.

Ideal candidates will possess strong troubleshooting skills in both mechanical and electrical control systems, including PLCs, variable frequency drives, hydraulics, pumps, bearings, belts, valves, and basic blueprint interpretation. We seek a collaborative team member who thrives in a dynamic and demanding environment. Candidates should be physically capable of performing job duties, such as moving heavy machinery, climbing ladders, and engaging in repetitive motions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose failures and conduct repairs/maintenance on pumping stations and facility equipment.
  • Fabricate new equipment or additional components as necessary.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Manage necessary documentation and records, preparing reports and forms as required.
  • Oversee new and retrofit construction projects.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and machine shop capabilities.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with colleagues, vendors, and others.
  • Ability to work independently on projects as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Highly professional and reliable.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, which may include days, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic computer and internet proficiency.

**Candidates must possess a valid VA driver's license and have their own transportation for daily commutes. A Class B CDL, or the ability to obtain one within the first 90 days, is preferred.
