This is a critical role that requires a strong leader who can ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while providing exceptional culinary experiences.", "Responsibilities": {"Leadership": "Coordinates, supervises, and develops work schedules for all shifts, directing the activities of personnel.", "Menu Planning": "Creates bi-weekly work schedules, reviews menus, and recommends improvements prior to implementation.", "Quality Control": "Maintains daily cleaning lists, assigns cleaning duties, and monitors kitchen and dining areas to ensure proper service.", "Training": "Trains staff on proper hand washing, hairnets, and Serve Safe Guidelines, schedules staff for required in-services, and continuously trains staff on new ways to present food.", "Coordination": "Coordinates with staff, Dietitian, and nursing for special diets, menu changes, and new products, maintains accurate production and spread sheets, and attends monthly Resident Council meetings.", "Accountability": "Assumes responsibility for appearance, quality, quantity, temperature, palatability, and proper portion control of food items, taste tests food before serving, and supervises all food preparation.", "Communication": "Maintains open communication with staff, residents, and management to ensure seamless operations and address resident concerns.", "Regulatory Compliance": "Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, maintains accurate records of food production, and coordinates with regulatory agencies as needed.", "Teamwork": "Works collaboratively with the Dietitian, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and provide exceptional resident experiences.", "Continuous Improvement": "Continuously evaluates and improves food service operations, menu offerings, and resident satisfaction.", "Reporting": "Maintains accurate records of food production, menu planning, and resident satisfaction, and provides regular reports to management.", "Professional Development": "Stays up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, and participates in ongoing professional development opportunities.", "Job Requirements": "Bachelor\u2019s degree in Food Service Management, Nutrition, or related field, or equivalent experience.
