Position Overview
The Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless guest experience by managing check-ins and check-outs efficiently. The responsibilities include:
- Welcoming guests, processing registrations, and assigning accommodations.
- Issuing room keys and providing instructions to support staff.
- Sorting and distributing incoming mail and messages.
- Handling telephone communications and relaying messages.
- Responding to guest inquiries regarding hotel amenities, local attractions, and travel information.
- Maintaining accurate records of room availability and guest accounts.
- Calculating bills, processing payments, and providing change as necessary.
- Making and confirming reservations for guests.
- Recording charges for services such as lodging, dining, and other amenities.
- Coordinating reservations for dining, transportation, and entertainment, as well as arranging tours.
- Assisting guests with securing valuables in the hotel safe.
- Conducting nightly financial checks.
- Listening attentively to guest concerns and providing effective solutions.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- A high school diploma or equivalent educational background.
- One to three months of relevant experience or training, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
Language Proficiency
Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos. Proficient in writing basic correspondence and effectively presenting information in individual and small group settings.
