As the HR Recruitment Coordinator, you will be instrumental in our organization's efforts to attract and retain top talent while providing essential administrative support to the Human Resources department. Your main responsibilities will include overseeing recruitment processes and ensuring a smooth candidate journey, in addition to assisting with HR functions such as benefits management, HRIS oversight, and employee support.
Plymouth Housing is a nonprofit entity dedicated to developing and managing permanent supportive housing for individuals who have faced chronic homelessness. With facilities across the region, Plymouth is committed to helping the most vulnerable members of our community transition out of homelessness. Our approach goes beyond merely providing shelter; we offer supportive services like case management and healthcare to ensure our residents can thrive in the long term. As part of our strategic vision, we are enhancing our internal behavioral health services and adapting our systems to meet the evolving needs of our residents.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE AT PLYMOUTH HOUSING
- Oversee and coordinate recruitment initiatives, including job advertisements, candidate sourcing, resume evaluation, and interview scheduling.
- Maintain effective communication with candidates, providing timely updates on their application status and managing interview arrangements.
- Conduct reference checks, background screenings, and any necessary assessments.
- Implement candidate feedback mechanisms to refine the recruitment process and enhance the candidate experience.
- Utilize data analytics to evaluate recruitment metrics, identify trends, and improve recruitment strategies.
- Manage applicant data within the applicant tracking system (ATS), including updating candidate profiles, generating reports, and analyzing recruitment statistics.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires by preparing offer letters, employment agreements, and other necessary documentation.
- Assist in organizing recruitment events, job fairs, and community outreach activities to promote employment opportunities at Plymouth.
- Engage in recruitment activities with a strong commitment to equity and cultural competence, supporting Plymouth's dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Act as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and HRIS.
- Assist the Benefits & HRIS Administrator with the administration of health and welfare plans, including enrollments, modifications, and terminations.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of HRIS data, including processing new hires, status changes, and separations.
- Create and maintain employee records, ensuring compliance with legal standards and organizational policies.
- Support annual open enrollment and other periodic HR activities.
- Provide administrative assistance to HR leadership, including organizing agency-related events and meetings.
- Participate in special HR projects and serve as a backup to the Benefits & HRIS Administrator.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of individuals in support of Plymouth's anti-racist objectives.
- Strong grasp of recruitment principles and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in data management, analysis, and HRIS systems (preferably ADP).
- Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
- Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment coordination or HR support roles.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS (preferably ADP).
- Familiarity with labor laws, employment equity regulations, and benefits administration.
