Job Summary
The Hospital Cleaning Operations Manager coordinates the work activities of the cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions in the hospital. This role is responsible for adjusting schedules as necessary to ensure work is completed and hospital cleanliness is maintained.
Main Responsibilities
1. Coordinate the activities of the Environmental Services Aides, maintaining communication and acting as a liaison between all shifts and departments to ensure a smooth operation and continuity of work.
2. Manage staff schedules, calling in staff to cover unscheduled absences or increased need due to special projects.
3. Instruct and train employees in the use of new equipment and cleaning methods.
4. Assist in special projects as directed and research cleaning techniques to keep current with regulations and best practices.
5. Tour the hospital periodically, covering each assigned area to observe cleaning crews at work and determine that instructions, infection control, and safety regulations are being followed.
Requirements
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Experience: Experience in an environmental services department.
Compensation
The estimated salary for this role is approximately $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
