Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at the University of New Mexico. As a key member of our Cardiology Clinic, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, evaluation, and consultation services in the Cardiology Clinic
  • Coordinate services with other patient care providers, as needed
  • Manage patient calls, callbacks, and triaging
  • Order labs and follow up on results
  • Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures, regulations, and standards
Requirements
  • Eligible for New Mexico certification as a Physician's Assistant or State of New Mexico Certified Nurse Practitioner
  • Ability to coordinate day-to-day clinic expectations and interface with outpatient and inpatient referring providers
  • Ability to manage patient calls, callbacks, triaging, patient care, clinic appointments, scheduling, and ordering labs
  • Ability to maintain an appropriate panel size, including hospital discharge clinic visits within 7 days
