Job Summary

The University of New Mexico is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in the Transdisciplinary Evaluation and Support Clinic (TEASC). As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide consultative clinical services to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) who may have complex medical and/or behavioral challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultative clinical services as part of an interdisciplinary team to individuals with I/DD.
  • Write preliminary reports based on records review and intake for individuals referred to the team.
  • Participate in evaluations and write comprehensive reports following clinical evaluations.
  • Develop and provide training in topics around providing effective care to individuals with I/DD.
  • Participate in research projects.
Requirements
  • Eligible for New Mexico certification as a Physician's Assistant or State of New Mexico Certified Nurse Practitioner.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to write reports in a timely manner.
  • Comfortable working with an interdisciplinary team.
