Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Lease Accounting Oversight:
    • Supervise lease accounting operations and guarantee compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Regularly update and maintain lease accounting policies.
  2. Financial Reporting Duties:
    • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements related to leases.
    • Evaluate lease data to provide insights for management decision-making.
  3. Management of Systems:
    • Oversee lease accounting software and tools.
    • Ensure precise data entry in lease management systems.
  4. Audit Coordination and Internal Controls:
    • Collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance with internal control measures.
    • Address any audit findings associated with lease accounting.
  5. Leadership and Team Development:
    • Guide and mentor lease accounting personnel.
    • Conduct performance assessments and facilitate professional growth opportunities.
  6. Collaboration Across Functions:
    • Engage with real estate, legal, and operations teams regarding lease information.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
    • CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of experience in accounting with a focus on lease accounting.
    • Familiarity with ASC 842 is essential.
    • Experience in the automotive sector is advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and IFRS lease accounting standards.
    • Proficient in lease accounting software and ERP systems.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership capabilities.
    • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
