Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with members, understanding their financial goals and objectives.
  • Utilize consultative interview processes to identify opportunities and deliver creative financial solutions, including mortgage lending, consumer account management, and loan processing.
  • Provide education and guidance on the benefits of our products and services, including calculating loan terms, rates, and payment amounts.
  • Process financial transactions, update account information, and document member interactions in our core system with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Research and resolve member issues and concerns, collaborating with internal departments as needed.
  • Foster a culture of cooperation and teamwork with the Centralized Lending and Loan Processing staff to ensure seamless service for our members.
  • Follow up on loan closing processes and perform department-related support duties, including scanning, faxing, and working daily reports.
Requirements
  • 6-24 months of experience in a similar or related role, including time spent in preparatory positions.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a proactive sales position and an additional year in a banking/credit union environment opening accounts and taking loan applications.
  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with financial products preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and communication skills.
  • Proven sales aptitude and ability to be bonded.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain notary designation.
