Job Summary

The Senior Accountant, GL will support the monthly close process, analyze and reconcile GL accounts, and participate in assigned audit responsibilities. This role requires top-notch analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, able to support month, quarter and year-end close responsibilities in a timely fashion. All work performed by the Senior Accountant will support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) including audit ready schedules with IPE.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure proper capitalization of fixed assets and depreciation.
* Enter all information into fixed accounting software and prepare monthly capitalization and depreciation entries for the general ledger.
* Prepare the monthly Fixed Asset Rollforward. Annual OC Property tax return
* Audit assistance for the annual external financial statement audit and any governmental agencies (e.g., OC Property tax audit).
* Complete monthly review of European subsidiaries ensuring proper accruals, AP payments, request for funding and commercial sales billing
* Complete monthly fluctuation analysis for SG&A cost centers
* Record month end close payroll entries (workers comp, PTO accrual, bonus accrual) and reconcile GL accounts
* Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations as assigned (fixed assets, payroll liabilities, etc.)
* Support the administration of the department's Close software (Blackline) and the company's requisition system (GRS) as assigned by the Associate Director
* Research and resolve accounting issues.
* Complete ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested

Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; minimum 5 years' Accounting experience, including at least two in Public Accounting
* Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
* Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines and work independently
* Training to be completed per the training plan for this position as maintained in the document control system
* The training requirements on TRN-10007 Insider Trading Policy, TRN-10008 Global Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy and TRN-10009 Code of Business Conducts and Ethics must be diligently completed within 30 days from the hiring date and on an annual basis
