Job Overview

The Business Operations Analyst is pivotal in overseeing operational functions, encompassing budget management, contract oversight, and analytical support for program development within Patient Care Services. This role involves engaging in the assessment and enhancement of existing financial practices, conducting audits, and performing statistical analyses of expenditures.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leadership Responsibilities
    1. Facilitates financial analysis and management of departmental activities, focusing on budgetary allocations, capital acquisitions, contract negotiations, and billing processes, while offering strategic recommendations for enhancements.
    2. Accountable for the formulation and execution of financial policies, procedures, and reporting standards applicable to all services and products.
    3. Oversees financial operations within the division, collaborating closely with Revenue Management to ensure compliance and accuracy in processes.
    4. Conducts performance evaluations for designated staff, providing constructive feedback to promote effective communication and high-quality healthcare delivery.
  2. Program Management and Operational Oversight
    1. Assists in the formulation of comprehensive budgets, including annual and tri-annual operational and capital budgeting, as well as long-term financial and strategic planning for designated divisions.
    2. Collaborates with the Managed Care department to review and streamline reimbursement processes and technological integration.
    3. Reviews various departmental financial reports, offering insights for improvements, simplification, and compliance, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery with team members and financial resources.
    4. Responsible for the oversight and review of accounting and financial reports for assigned divisions.
    5. Develops performance metrics for patient care processes, emphasizing operational efficiency and profitability.
  3. Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance
    1. Tracks progress towards financial objectives outlined in the annual operations plan and individual practice financial strategies.
    2. Maintains effective communication with multidisciplinary teams, including Medical Directors and Nurse Managers, regarding new products and services.
    3. Utilizes expertise to actively participate in meetings concerning hospital products and services.
  4. Additional Responsibilities
    1. Undertakes other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of four years of experience in financial management.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
