Join a Magnet-designated nursing team collaborating with an exceptional Neurosurgery group within our Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing preventive strategies and diagnosing as well as managing illnesses and disorders in alignment with established medical practices and protocols in collaboration with the supervising physician.
  • Delivering patient care efficiently while optimizing resource utilization.
  • Providing compassionate and respectful care to surpass patient expectations.
  • Working alongside physicians, leadership, administration, and staff to enhance clinical outcomes.
  • Staying updated with the latest technical knowledge and pursuing educational and professional development opportunities to improve clinical practice and skills.
  • Contributing to the organization’s educational initiatives and teaching programs.
  • Engaging in the peer review process to elevate clinical practices, demonstrating sound judgment and respect for colleagues.
  • Participating in rotational holiday coverage with one midlevel provider managing inpatient responsibilities.
  • Covering inpatient consultations and assisting in the operating room as needed.
  • Handling first call for all non-urgent physician-to-physician inquiries.
  • Available for overnight call (phone calls only, no requirement to be present at the facility).
  • Receiving a $150/night call stipend, paid biweekly as a bonus, separate from the base salary.

Position Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution or as permitted by NJ law.
  • Current licensure as a PA in New Jersey and certification from the State Board of Nursing.
  • Specialty certification required, with privileges granted by the Atlantic City Medical Center medical staff.
  • Unencumbered NCCPA registration.
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
