We are seeking a highly skilled Family Medicine Physician Assistant to join our dynamic medical team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional professionalism and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment. As a Physician Assistant, you will deliver cost-effective patient care while diagnosing and managing various health conditions in accordance with established medical protocols in collaboration with a supervising physician.
Our organization offers flexible scheduling options, including both part-time and full-time roles. Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays and at least one evening shift each week.
COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required:
*Exemption requests are subject to administrative approval.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations to assess overall health status.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary.
- Diagnose and manage illnesses by developing treatment plans in collaboration with your supervising physician.
- Administer or prescribe medications and treatments.
- Provide patient education and counseling in alignment with the supervising physician's guidance.
- Comply with medical staff policies and procedures.
- Assist colleagues as needed and participate in on-call rotations.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; 2-4 years preferred.
- Current NJ Physician Assistant license, DEA registration, and CPR certification.
- Experience in a clinical setting; community health experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.
