Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Alaska Regional Hospital. As a Hemo Dialysis Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience and IV placement experience required.
  • Knowledge of specialty equipment and tools, including Plasmapheresis and Dialysis.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification.
