About the Role

Auria is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of complex systems and ensuring their integration with existing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to maintain the NAVWAR Enterprise Architecture (EA) and support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) initiatives.
  • Develop and implement engineering best practices to enhance the workforce's capabilities.
  • Provide technical support to the Chief Architect for NAVWAR EA products and serve as the configuration manager for the EA and MBSE environment.
  • Maintain and govern existing SoS interface management control processes and products, including Technical Baselines, interface standards, controlling parameters, and interface agreements.
  • Modify technical drawings that document IT architectures and related specifications and requirements for afloat, ashore, and aloft platforms.
  • Ensure the maintenance and governance of Navy-mandated IT standards, CM standards, policy, and processes, as well as Requirements Management standards, policy, and processes.
  • Support system operations and administration, integration, and data transfer for modeling and simulation tools, architecture tools, and data repositories within the NAVWAR MBSE environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Must have at least a TS level clearance with SCI eligibility required.
  • 10+ years of experience with Systems Engineering and Integration, MBSE, and using digital engineering tools to design DoD systems.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience with architecting solutions from user requirements and use cases to be applied across a systems engineering life cycle.
  • Experience with the practical application of Unified Modeling Language (UML) or Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
  • Ability to conduct model-based performance simulations to determine the impact of requirements changes on system performance and behaviors.
  • Ability to use MBSE tools and processes to create and manage tailored MBSE artifacts that capture analysis and the resulting engineering decisions and trades made during acquisition and development.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, dynamic team environment, including internal staff, external contractors, and government clients to increase the use of MBSE for client acquisitions programs.
  • Knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle and object-oriented programming languages, including C++, Java, or Python.
  • Possess DoD Cyberspace Workforce (DCWF) Qualification and Management Program proficiency level of Intermediate or Advanced.
