Your Role

As a Senior Project Geotechnical Engineer at AECOM, you will play a crucial role in our geotechnical division, working alongside interdisciplinary teams to provide expert consulting services on significant infrastructure initiatives. Your expertise will contribute to projects in diverse areas such as dams, levees, mining, civil engineering, and energy.

In this position, you will:

  • Lead engineering analyses, designs, and reports to fulfill client requirements and ensure project success.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and connecting them with industry experts.
  • Engage in all phases of project life cycles, from initial planning and site investigations to detailed design and construction oversight.
  • Conduct geotechnical site investigations, including subsurface assessments and laboratory testing of soil and rock materials.
  • Oversee the installation and monitoring of geotechnical instrumentation, analyzing data to inform project decisions.
  • Provide on-site support and supervision for geotechnical and earthwork construction activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and clients, utilizing your engineering judgment to achieve project objectives.
  • Participate in project management tasks and contribute to business development efforts across the region.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in geotechnical consulting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license and eligibility for licensure in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Experience in project management and leading teams on geotechnical projects.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical analysis and design software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to prepare technical reports and documentation.
