POSITION SUMMARY:

The Superintendent oversees all on-site activities related to construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, budget management, quality assurance, and project timelines. This role involves close collaboration with management and regular communication with the General Superintendent to secure necessary support and guidance for effective project execution. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors is essential. Daily operations are conducted in alignment with CPPI's vision, mission, and core values.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of five years' experience in a commercial superintendent role or equivalent training.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Proficient in utilizing experience and judgment to set and achieve objectives.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints.
  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and personal accountability.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting safety regulations and operational manuals.
  • Mathematical skills for calculating figures and applying basic algebra and geometry.
  • Problem-solving skills to address practical challenges in diverse situations.
  • Basic computer proficiency is required.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand and manage contractual documents, including contracts, schedules, and payment applications.
  • Coordinate the project team effectively.
  • Anticipate potential challenges and adopt a proactive approach to mitigate issues.
  • Foster leadership and mentoring skills continuously.
  • Support business development and preconstruction efforts.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee site logistics and management plans.
  • Plan and coordinate weekly work activities, ensuring efficient trade interactions.
  • Monitor and maintain the construction schedule, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure project safety, including site separation and jobsite activities.
  • Implement and uphold quality control measures on-site.
  • Maintain organized and comprehensive records at the job site.
  • Manage tool inventory and report status as needed.
  • Facilitate timely creation and completion of punch lists.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and enforce compliance standards.
  • Document daily progress and maintain delay logs accurately.
  • Coordinate material procurement and delivery with subcontractors and schedules.
  • Assist management in developing bid scopes.
  • Monitor timely approval of submittals and identify long lead items.
  • Conduct and document weekly progress meetings and daily huddles with trades.
  • Accurately code timesheets and material invoices.
  • Complete Comdata coding promptly and accurately.
  • Review job costs regularly with management.
  • Assist project staff with Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Utilize the Company Policy and Procedures Manual and Best Practices Guidelines effectively.
  • Participate in ongoing training initiatives.
  • Ensure workplace safety and report issues to the project team immediately.
  • Perform additional functions as required.
  • Exceed client expectations throughout project delivery.
  • Plan and coordinate daily work activities, ensuring efficient trade interactions.
  • Assist management in reviewing shop drawings and submittals as necessary.
  • Accurately document daily project progress.
  • Maintain organized records at the job site.
