Overview


General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a qualified individual to take on the role of Project Operations Manager (POM) within the SOF/Combatant Command Sector. In this position, you will engage with leadership and functional teams across the Sector and GDIT, acting as the primary liaison with Government clients.


The POM is tasked with overseeing technical operations and maintenance, managing special initiatives, and handling program budgets, all while enhancing operational efficiencies, fostering innovation, and driving continuous improvement.

Our clients expect strategic insight and the capability to align priorities across a global framework, all while enhancing mission effectiveness and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and oversee scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of programs.
- Ensure compliance with master plans and timelines, develop solutions to program challenges, and guide the efforts of assigned personnel.
- Guarantee that projects are finalized within the established timeframes and budget constraints.
- Serve as a consultant to the program team regarding projects, tasks, and operational matters.


Utilize extensive experience and judgment to plan and achieve objectives while managing a variety of complex tasks that support Special Warfare Operator goals.

Communicate and collaborate with all levels of system users. This role also necessitates providing user support as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated experience in managing intricate IT projects and programs.
- Strong comprehension of IT infrastructure, systems, and the software development lifecycle.
- Previous experience in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Profound understanding of Project Management methodologies and tools.
- Strong knowledge of IT Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance.
- Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in budget development and management.
- Proven ability to align IT initiatives with organizational objectives.

Education, Certification, and Experience Requirements

BA/BS or equivalent experience plus 5 years in the field or a related area, or a degree may be waived with an additional four (4) years of experience.

Must possess a Secret Clearance to commence work and the ability to secure a Top-Secret Clearance.

Work Environment
The work environment is primarily administrative office/lab with potential on-site interactions with users.

Project Management Professional (PMP) - Project Management Institute (PMI).

Travel Required
Less than 10%.

Citizenship
U.S. Citizenship Required.

Salary and Benefit Information
The anticipated salary range for this position is $123,250 - $166,750. However, this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.

Salary will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and potentially contractual requirements, and may fall outside of this range.
