Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Duke Energy. As a Project Manager II, you will be responsible for managing and executing projects related to commercial and industrial electrical systems, including low and medium voltage infrastructure, backup power systems, and monitoring and control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to identify customer needs and develop innovative solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, including design, engineering, and construction.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as applicable industry codes and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial and industrial design engineering, with a focus on electrical systems.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong technical expertise in electrical systems, including low and medium voltage infrastructure, backup power systems, and monitoring and control systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with computerized analysis systems, such as ETAP or CYME.
  • Knowledge of commercial equipment and contractor networks.
