About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead the execution of multiple transmission, substation, and distribution projects. As a Project Manager at Sargent & Lundy, you will be responsible for coordinating with internal and external departments to manage the life cycle of project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project execution, contract administration, planning, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Take ownership of project performance, including safety, schedule, budget, reporting, and client experience throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and direct project teams to ensure accountability, mentor, and coach team members to achieve project goals.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with client functional leads and stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
  • Support the reporting of key performance indicators for schedule, budget, and other dashboard items.
  • Identify and control construction risk, recognize, identify, track, and control change.
  • Communicate and consult with stakeholders and supervisors to ensure project success.
  • Prepare reports that present project information in a clear and concise manner, meeting client requirements.
  • Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve project results.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program or a management/business degree.
  • 10+ years of specific experience in Project Management of Utility, Construction, Engineering, or other technical projects.
  • Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience serving as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead role.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple competing priorities is critical to success.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineering design experience.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Construction and start-up experience.
