About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team at Marmon Holdings, Inc. as a key member of our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, and launching efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Analysis: Work closely with internal clients to understand their business needs, analyze and document as-is capabilities, and identify opportunities to improve processes and meet objectives via technology solutions.
  • Project Planning: Responsible for project planning, including scope, tasks, deliverables, milestones, and documentation.
  • User Support: Provides user support and formulates ideas and recommendations regarding the use of systems and enhancements.
  • System Review and Analysis: Reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develops strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Cost-Benefit Analysis: Performs cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
  • System Compatibility: Ensures compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
  • Business Requirements: Develops detailed business user requirements, system documentation, and workflow procedures.
  • System Operation: Oversees the operation of systems, including system configuration options, job schedules, and interface design.
  • Problem Analysis: Conducts research and analysis into the nature, effect, and results of system problems.
  • System Change Management: Reviews requested system changes and develops detailed specifications for implementation, communicating system changes and issues to relevant constituents.
  • System Documentation: Ensures current and accurate system documentation; coordinates and/or performs testing of system modifications.
  • System Training: Develops, provides, or coordinates system training, educational tools, and materials.
  • Liaison: Acts as a liaison with business units, IT, and outside vendors as appropriate in support of the systems, ensuring business unit needs have been satisfied.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Performs ad-hoc analysis to support business queries and issue resolution.
  • Compliance: Adheres to company processes and controls to ensure all solutions meet appropriate risk, security, compliance, and technical standard requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; and a minimum of 5+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Experience with relational databases and concepts (MS SQL Server, Oracle, etc.); experience with ERP, Shop Floor Control, CRM, Payroll/HRIS, Product Life Cycle Management, or Manufacturing Execution Systems.
  • Skills: Ability to contribute to the creation of an environment that facilitates high performance and motivates individuals to work collaboratively as a team; ability to communicate and to effectively present information to and respond to questions from individuals at all levels, both within and outside the organization; able to work with tight deadlines and multitask, to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
