We are seeking a visionary, strategic, and collaborative Head of Business Systems - Financial Technology to spearhead Procore's Finance and Legal Technology/Systems division.
In the role of Head of Business Systems - Financial Technology, you will act as the primary liaison between the Business Systems Team and our Finance and Legal divisions. Collaborating closely with leadership from Business Systems, Finance, and Legal, you will guide the ongoing development and execution of a comprehensive Finance and Legal Technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with our global corporate objectives. You will oversee a dedicated team tasked with constructing and maintaining our Finance and Legal systems architecture, ensuring it is scalable and compliant. A strong, product-focused mindset is essential, as is a commitment to creating systems and tools that enhance the employee and manager experience.
This position will report to the Vice President of Technology - Business Systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and nurture a high-performing team by leading and mentoring members of the Finance and Legal Technology team, who are responsible for implementing and managing Finance and Legal technology solutions in alignment with Procore's mission and strategy.
- Prioritize Business Systems Technology initiatives based on organizational needs and strategy, including workload and budget management, while being accountable for Procore's comprehensive Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Plan to Report, and Legal business process architecture, solution design, and development.
- Provide technical program leadership and experience in implementing systems such as Netsuite, Zuora, Coupa, Concur, Avalara, Blackline, Xactly, Pigment, SimpleLegal, Ironclad, Docusign, and other SaaS platforms.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders including Business Technology, Data Intelligence, Security, Finance, and Legal to create and execute a three-year Finance and Legal Technology roadmap that supports our business strategy and facilitates organizational scaling through insights and self-service.
- Identify automation opportunities and streamline manual processes by partnering with teams across People, Finance, Legal, and Business Technology, conducting regular business process reviews and QBRs to propose ongoing improvements and actionable plans.
- Empower teams and managers to make informed, data-driven decisions, delivering valuable insights and establishing action plans to enhance transactions and capabilities.
- Formulate an overarching vendor strategy and lead vendor evaluations in collaboration with stakeholders, managing strategic vendor relationships.
- Work alongside Security and Legal functions to ensure data security and compliance with all data privacy regulations, including SOX/audit requirements, while significantly enhancing data, business process, and access security.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 12 years in internal/external IT business systems/technology and at least 10 years in Finance and Legal technology leadership.
- Comprehensive understanding of standard business practices and processes across Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Plan to Report, and Legal operations.
- Strong leadership experience in a dynamic, rapidly growing, and global environment.
- Proven knowledge of Finance, Payroll, Legal, and Business Technology processes and their impact on Finance and Legal systems.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships; excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills; adept at managing business relationships.
- Exemplary critical thinking skills with the capacity to develop a long-term vision, multi-year systems roadmap, and innovative solutions.
- A successful track record of building high-performing teams while effectively managing stakeholder relationships.
- Extensive project/product/program management experience, particularly in leading large, complex system implementations.
