Pediatric Liver Transplant Advanced Practice Provider

Stanford Medicine Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our Pediatric Liver Transplant Program. This role is integral to our multidisciplinary provider team, actively participating in the management and clinical decision-making for all pediatric liver transplant patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage outpatient liver pre- and post-transplant patients, overseeing monitoring, medication management, patient education, care coordination, and addressing complications as they arise.
  • Serve as a primary provider for inpatient pediatric liver and intestinal transplant patients, participating in rounding, note-writing, and clinical decision-making with Hepatologist and Transplant Surgeon.
  • Function as an APP in first or second assistant role in the operating room during pediatric transplant surgeries, including liver, intestine, combined organ, multivisceral transplants, and liver resections.
  • Service line support for weekday and weekend shifts to ensure continuous 7-day service coverage.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in Pediatrics care and/or transplant medicine is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and independently manage patient care decisions.
  • RNFA certification for NP preferred, may be required within 1 year of hire based on location.
