Automotive Program Coordinator

DirectPath is collaborating with a dynamic automotive supplier in search of a dedicated Program Coordinator. This role is pivotal in overseeing all facets of program management for designated projects, as specified by senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage program timelines and budgets, including quotations, prototypes, and tool follow-ups.
- Oversee pre-production samples and production launches, ensuring effective communication across departments.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients and the organization, delivering presentations and technical support for new product introductions.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze cost-saving opportunities to present to management.
- Prepare internal quotes for new and existing programs, ensuring thorough review and approval processes.
- Ensure compliance with documentation flow and APQP requirements.
- Collaborate with purchasing to obtain quotes for cost-saving initiatives and analyze rejected proposals for future improvements.
- Establish and maintain program schedules using project management tools.
- Assist in the development of tooling and manufacturing processes to optimize costs.
- Work closely with engineering teams to implement new or revised processes for enhanced efficiency.
- Support the procurement of tooling and equipment, ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Travel as necessary during product launch phases.
- Maintain program cash flow milestones and provide direction to the Continuous Improvement Team.
- Regularly update senior management on program status and progress.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications
- A degree in mechanical engineering is preferred, though relevant experience will be considered.
- Experience in program management is advantageous.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in engineering or tooling within the automotive sector.
- Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
Training and Skills
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, SPC, DFMEA/PFMEA, GD&T, APQP & PPAP.
- Knowledge of quality engineering systems and OEM processes is beneficial.
- Commitment to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
