Continental is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist/Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all health and safety activities for our plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health and safety strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to minimize hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
- Develop and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills and training exercises.
- Provide health and safety training and coaching to employees and management.
- Develop and maintain health and safety metrics and reporting to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and industry associations, to stay up-to-date on health and safety regulations and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in health and safety, with a strong background in regulatory compliance and industry standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
- Experience with health and safety software and systems, including incident reporting and tracking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate hazards and risks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of industry-specific health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience with environmental standards and regulations, including ISO 14001 and OSHA.
- Master's degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety or environmental science.
