Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to minimize hazards and ensure a safe working environment.

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills and training exercises.
  • Provide health and safety training and coaching to employees and management.
  • Develop and maintain health and safety metrics and reporting to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and industry associations, to stay up-to-date on health and safety regulations and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in health and safety, with a strong background in regulatory compliance and industry standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with health and safety software and systems, including incident reporting and tracking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate hazards and risks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of industry-specific health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Experience with environmental standards and regulations, including ISO 14001 and OSHA.
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety or environmental science.
