POSITION SUMMARY

The Logistics Operator is responsible for executing a variety of tasks related to warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Receiving Operations:

  • Process incoming Intercompany Purchase Orders.
  • Conduct Volume and Manifest transactions.
  • Investigate details related to incoming shipments.
  • Organize and store parts in inventory.

Shipping Operations:

  • Coordinate the delivery of parts for offsite or customer collection.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, including Airway Bills, invoices, and Shippers Letters of Instructions.
  • Manage manual shipments and perform necessary conversions.
  • Handle both domestic and international shipping tasks.

Warehouse Management:

  • Monitor material movements to track parts, serial numbers, and quantity adjustments.
  • Execute stock transfers, labeling, and packing tasks as required.
  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory reconciliations.
  • Manage the return of stock materials that have been re-certified or repaired.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • May involve handling hazardous materials during shipping and receiving.
  • Address emergencies such as system outages or urgent requests.
  • Handle documentation for hazardous materials and international shipments.
  • Propose enhancements to processes and workflows.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.

Experience:

  • Intermediate level role requiring foundational skills to perform standard tasks within logistics.
  • Typically requires 1-3 years of relevant experience in warehouse or manufacturing settings.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of technical or functional areas is necessary.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new information.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and teamwork orientation.
  • Forklift certification and proficiency in operating machinery.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
  • Understanding of inventory management systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to navigate SAP systems.
  • A valid Driver's License is mandatory.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
  • Adhere to productivity and accuracy standards.
  • Comply with safety regulations and operational guidelines.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing as per regulations.
