Job Summary

The Shipping Supervisor role at Pactiv Evergreen is a critical position responsible for managing and leading the Shipping department to ensure quality, safety, and accountability of people and processes. This role requires a strong leader who can coordinate with plant scheduling, communicate with customer service, and ensure the balancing of the load schedule. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse, transportation, and logistics, as well as inventory management and conflict resolution skills. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with plant scheduling to ensure on-time shipment of orders

• Communicate with customer service to ensure accurate order information

• Ensure the balancing of the load schedule

• Collaborate with third-party logistics shuttling services for movement of trailers and finished goods

• Manage inventory movement within warehouses and outbound

• Lead daily and mandatory staff meetings

• Ensure accountability of staff to safety, quality, and standards

• Address employee and leadership concerns and inquiries and assist in developing solutions

• Gather and report shipping information to appropriate levels of leadership

• Support safety, quality, and production initiatives to achieve goals

• Conduct inventory audits

• Attend and actively participate in all assigned and mandatory meetings

• Recognize and reward employees

• Keep accurate and timely records of enterprise systems

• Manage labor resources according to forecasts

• Daily complete all work requirements listed in their Leader Standard Work

• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area

• Maintain effective communication with operators and plant supervision

• Immediately address and report safety issues or hazards

Requirements

• At least three (3) + years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

• At least one (1) to 2 (2) years of warehouse, transportation, and/or logistics experience, preferred

• Inventory management experience

• Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures

• Proficient in basic computer operation and data entry; some experience with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Teams and warehouse management systems

• Detailed oriented

• Time management

Working Conditions

This position is located in a manufacturing location. Physical requirements will include but are not limited to:

• Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent)

• Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent)

• Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)

• Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent)

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Associates degree or BA/BS in business, manufacturing or related field, preferred

Leadership Development and/or certification is preferred
