Job Summary:

The Human Resources Business Partner will provide strategic support to our manufacturing operations management and team members. This role will work closely with the Senior Manager, Human Resources to develop and implement HR policies, practices, and programs that promote a healthy work environment and support employee growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned employee groups, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters.
  • Collaborate with management to implement good HR practices that promote a positive work environment and support employee growth and development.
  • Support the development and enhancement of training programs for supervisors and employees.
  • Lead investigations and provide recommendations to mitigate risk.
  • Partner with the Senior Manager, Human Resources to plan, recommend, implement, and administer HR policies, practices, and programs.
  • Provide day-to-day HR guidance and support to the Manufacturing Operations teams.
  • Develop and enhance HR metrics and reports to analyze trends.
  • Manage and resolve escalated employee relations issues.
  • Assist in conducting effective, objective, and comprehensive investigations, corrective action recommendations, and associated documentation.
  • Participate in ongoing HR initiatives, legislative changes, and projects to enhance HR services to the business.
  • Collaborate with management on programs to support employee engagement and career growth, including comprehensive new hire follow-up conversations.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant Human Resources experience in an HRBP or HR Generalist role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in Ceridian Dayforce HRIS is an asset.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Current knowledge of progressive HR practices and trends.
  • A team player, change agent, project manager, and able to manage several demanding clients simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
