Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Specialist to support our HR operations within the community.
This crucial role will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and maintaining the effectiveness and compliance of our HR department.
Key Responsibilities- Employee Records Management
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system, including personal information, job titles, hiring documents, salary details, training records, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct regular file audits to ensure compliance with regulations and readiness for surveys.
- Recruitment Support
- Assist with the recruitment process, including screening applicants, scheduling interviews, coordinating with candidates, and preparing offer letters.
- Employee Relations
- Address employee inquiries, providing information on HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Act as a liaison between employees and HR leadership and serve as a witness during disciplinary conversations when necessary.
- Ensure all documentation is properly filed and submitted to the Human Resources Manager.
- New Hire Orientation
- Facilitate a weekly new hire orientation to ensure all new associates get the best possible start at our community.
- Support management in completing new associate training checklists and communicating benefit changes to associates.
- Special Projects and Policy Improvement
- Participate in HR department projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing policies and procedures.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the HR department and community operations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a professional Human Resources position required.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with HR software and systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS) is a plus.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
