About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Specialist to support our HR operations within the community.

This crucial role will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and maintaining the effectiveness and compliance of our HR department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Records Management
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system, including personal information, job titles, hiring documents, salary details, training records, and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct regular file audits to ensure compliance with regulations and readiness for surveys.
  • Recruitment Support
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including screening applicants, scheduling interviews, coordinating with candidates, and preparing offer letters.
  • Employee Relations
  • Address employee inquiries, providing information on HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and HR leadership and serve as a witness during disciplinary conversations when necessary.
  • Ensure all documentation is properly filed and submitted to the Human Resources Manager.
  • New Hire Orientation
  • Facilitate a weekly new hire orientation to ensure all new associates get the best possible start at our community.
  • Support management in completing new associate training checklists and communicating benefit changes to associates.
  • Special Projects and Policy Improvement
  • Participate in HR department projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the HR department and community operations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a professional Human Resources position required.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS) is a plus.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
