Job Overview
Key Responsibilities:

PRIMARY ROLE:

Design and specify sophisticated electrical, mechanical, and automated systems. Enhance manufacturing support and maintenance initiatives through training and technical guidance. Develop process specifications, machine parameters, and strategies for reducing waste and improving operational uptime. Lead capital projects from the strategic planning phase through procurement, installation, testing, and transition to operations. Evaluate industry-leading facilities and implement world-class processes, equipment, and workflows.

CORE FUNCTIONS:
Design control systems for machinery, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.

Select capital equipment for manufacturing operations.

Enhance existing machinery to boost uptime, improve quality, and increase productivity.

Provide engineering support for production equipment and processes, including advising maintenance teams.

Establish cost-saving initiatives to meet overall plant objectives.

Advise on enhancements to preventative maintenance programs.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineers on continuous improvement initiatives.

Authorize and approve modifications to machine tool programs.

Train team members on new technologies and manufacturing methodologies.

Adhere to and maintain Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards.

Participate in teams and lead team activities.

Monitor and document cost savings.

PFMEAs:
Understand the application of PFMEAs within the organization; develop, maintain, and review PFMEAs as necessary.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

This position demands technical expertise in machine functionality, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems. It also requires knowledge in mechanical design.

The role necessitates strong abilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.

Mentorship and development of maintenance personnel are key aspects of this role.

Assist other facilities with technical challenges.

The applicant must be capable of independently managing assigned project tasks.

Preferred experience includes data-driven analysis and problem-solving techniques.
