Position Overview

Link Technologies is in search of a Senior Cloud Security Engineer for a hybrid contract-to-hire role. This position is essential for enhancing our security posture and supporting our development teams in various environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, security teams, and management to ensure the integrity of production systems and address service-related issues.
  • Conduct system maintenance tasks, including log audits, software upgrades, backups, and user account management.
  • Engage with software development lifecycle methodologies such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), DevOps, Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD).
  • Install, manage, and support both Windows and Linux servers across physical and virtual platforms to meet program objectives.
  • Provide support for engineering applications and tools, ensuring their optimal performance and availability.
  • Assist in managing VMWare Tanzu environments, including Kubernetes, GitLab, Artifactory, Vault, and Grafana.
  • Facilitate the use of DevSecOps tools, including Atlassian Tools, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
  • Oversee the deployment of new instances and enhancements of applications within classified environments.
  • Maintain a consistent and predictable work schedule while fostering effective working relationships across departments.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the team and organizational goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced degrees may substitute for years of experience, and relevant certifications may also be considered.
  • Possession of a current TS/SCI CI Polygraph clearance is essential.
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficient troubleshooting abilities across operating systems, applications, and networks.
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication and listening skills, capable of working collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience with Linux servers, scripting, and support tools such as Ansible.
  • Familiarity with specialized network environments and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and VMWare products.
  • Experience with DevSecOps tools and compliance with DoD 8570 standards.
Work Environment

This role requires a hybrid work arrangement, necessitating in-office presence three days a week.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is between $63 and $75 per hour on a W2 basis.
