Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Services Representative to join our team at the Medical University of South Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our clinic, including scheduling appointments, answering multiline telephones, and taking payments from clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule appointments for clients from outside medical, hospital, and correction systems
  • Answer multiline telephones and respond to client inquiries
  • Take payments from clients for clinical services
  • Complete client registration and documentation
  • Schedule interpreters for clients
  • Retrieve billing charges

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and two years of work experience in a Medical Office, Call Center, and/or customer service business environment. You must also have the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks in a busy environment, as well as extensive experience with computers and technology, including Windows, Excel, and Intranet/Internet navigation tools.
