Job Title: Wind Blade Services Technician II

We are seeking a highly skilled Wind Blade Services Technician II to join our team at Wind Composite Services Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians in performing internal and external inspections and repairs of composite fiberglass/carbon wind blades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 2-4 technicians in performing up-tower and down-tower blade repairs.
  • Act as a safety role model and encourage team members to adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
  • Lead support technicians to perform LOTO of wind turbines and coordinate all aspects of job site preparation.
  • Operate blade access suspended platforms and perform skilled level wind blade damage repairs.
  • Perform other blade maintenance activities such as leading edge protection applications and lightning protection system repairs.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of wind blade repair and/or composite repair experience.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform all aspects of the repair process, including inspecting and documenting critical-to-quality parameters.
  • Proof of High School Diploma or GED (Required) or Associate Degree in a Technical Mechanical or Wind Energy discipline (Desired).
  • Ability to travel 100% of the time and work across the U.S. on holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field projects.
Desired Characteristics:
  • Passion for safety and service delivery oriented.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic operation of powered hand tools.
  • Experience performing repairs on blade access platforms and understanding of wind blade design, construction, and repairs.
