Job Summary

System One is seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Blade Repair Technician to join our team. As a Blade Repair Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and repairing wind turbine blades. This is a unique opportunity to work on various wind farms across the United States, with deployments ranging from a few weeks to several months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect wind turbine blades for damage and perform necessary repairs
  • Conduct external and internal repairs, including sanding, grinding, laminating, and internal blade repair duties
  • Work in a construction environment, with experience in composite lamination and the use of polyester and epoxy resins
  • Operate aerial platforms, rigging, lifting devices, and tag lines safely and effectively
  • Communicate effectively with teammates and customers
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of wind energy experience in a related field
  • Full life cycle blade repair experience, including sanding, grinding, laminating, and internal blade repair duties
  • Working experience in a construction environment
  • Composite lamination experience, as well as experience using polyester and epoxy resins
  • Familiarity with aerial platforms, rigging, lifting devices, and tag lines
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
  • Ability to pass respiratory fit testing requirements
  • Lift up to 75lbs and work at extreme heights (up to 300ft)
  • Ability to drive work vehicles in challenging locations
  • Must be able to see and hear adequately to work safely in a construction environment
