Position Overview

The Senior Clinical Nurse Educator plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to established guidelines, protocols, and regulations necessary for maintaining the educational programs within the department. This position is responsible for overseeing training initiatives, formulating relevant objectives, proposing policy changes, and assessing educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilizes a proactive approach to design, implement, coordinate, and assess educational and clinical training experiences.
  • Engages with three primary groups: patients and families, nursing staff, and healthcare organizations.
  • Provides clinical guidance and serves as a mentor, facilitating the integration of skills and knowledge into practical applications.
  • Engages in various roles including direct patient care, consultation, advocacy, teaching, research, and leadership development.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of four years of clinical nursing experience is essential.
  • Must possess a valid Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
  • Certification as an AHA ECC Instructor for BLS is required within six months of employment; ACLS and/or PALS certifications are preferred.
