Client Relations Specialist –

Company: Abacus CPAs, LLC

Location: Springfield, MO

This role requires in-office attendance.

Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. Overtime may be necessary during peak periods.

Compensation: $17-$19/hour

Role Summary:

As a Client Relations Specialist at Abacus, you will serve as a vital representative of our firm, ensuring that every client interaction reflects our commitment to exceptional service. Your key responsibilities will include engaging with clients via phone, face-to-face meetings, and email correspondence to assist with client onboarding, enhance client loyalty, and provide essential support to our accounting teams in their projects.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong customer service abilities and a results-driven mindset
  • Capacity to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient telephone etiquette, including clarity of speech and active listening
  • Demonstrated experience in addressing client inquiries, resolving challenges, and managing complex scenarios
  • Consistent and reliable attendance
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, goal-oriented environment
  • Comfortable working at a computer for extended periods
  • Collaborative team player
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Preferred familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in office and call-center software
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to in-house software systems
  • Must successfully pass a background check

Key Responsibilities

  • Review client accounts for updates to contracts and service levels
  • Communicate and clarify financial information to clients
  • Draft professional correspondence for third parties
  • Assist current and prospective clients with their information requirements
  • Implement best practices for managing inbound email inquiries and telephone communications
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies and technical information to ensure quality responses to client inquiries
  • Contribute to team initiatives aimed at improving processes for efficient and client-focused outcomes
  • Acquire and retain the knowledge necessary to provide accurate answers to client questions
  • Support the achievement of both personal and team objectives
  • Collaborate with the Transportation Tax and Accounting teams to deliver quality results for clients
  • Collect information from clients and accurately input it into the database
  • Communicate information to clients clearly and concisely
  • Respond to phone and email inquiries in a courteous and professional manner
  • Take responsibility for tasks to meet client expectations within the firm's guidelines
