Job Profile

The Rental Coordinator position is a key role within the Cat Rental Store, responsible for providing administrative support and coordination of rental sales. Reporting to the Cat Rental Store Operations Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with Rental Sales Representatives to process rental transactions and orders, including customer contacts, pricing, inventory availability, transportation/shipping coordination, and service requests. The Rental Coordinator will also be responsible for renting equipment/attachments and selling accessories at the rental counter or by phone.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and a college degree in business, sales, or construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Reconciling electronic charge transactions
  • Answering telephone calls and directing them to the correct individuals or departments
  • Assisting customers with their inquiries
  • Developing sales proposals and presentations from customer inquiries
  • Maintaining adequate product knowledge of equipment and Allied products
  • Researching equipment, parts, or Allied products to meet specialized customer requirements
  • Responding to customer inquiries regarding equipment and Allied products
  • Scheduling, dispatching, and routing vehicles for the transport of equipment and Allied products
  • Supporting sales staff with demonstrations and sales agreements
  • Coordinating with shop staff regarding repair status and availability of equipment

Safety and Customer Satisfaction

The Rental Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and adhering to all Company and customer safety rules. The successful candidate will also be expected to respond to all customer requests in a professional and courteous manner, maintaining a clean and professional personal appearance at all times. Additionally, the Rental Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the organization's mission, vision, and values by exhibiting honesty, integrity, and respect while delivering high-quality solutions and maintaining a positive attitude and a safe work environment.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements

The Rental Coordinator will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, occasionally performing duties outside. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a clean and safe working environment, communicate effectively, and be honest, reliable, and dependable. Additionally, the Rental Coordinator will be required to meet all eligibility requirements to drive Company vehicles, including a current, valid driver's license issued by the resident State, and maintain current motor vehicle liability insurance. The successful candidate will also be required to pass a pre-employment background check, physical exam, including a drug screen, and meet all physical requirements for the position.
