Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Velocity Truck Rental and Leasing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead their financial operations and drive the company's growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in senior financial leadership roles, preferably in the transportation, rental, or leasing industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budget and Forecasting: Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives. Provide weekly forecasts and rolling forecasts to support informed decision-making.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Design and implement financial and operational performance reports to track key metrics and drive business growth. Analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and optimize financial performance.
  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate the annual audit process, ensuring timely completion of audit reports and addressing any findings and recommendations promptly. Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Banking and Financing: Develop and maintain relationships with banking institutions to secure competitive financing for company assets. Evaluate financing options for capital expenditures and conduct cost-benefit analyses to determine the most advantageous financial strategies.
  • Corporate Support Team Management: Oversee the daily operations of the corporate support team, ensuring efficient processes and effective communication across the department. Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and retain top financial talent.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7 years in finance and administrative management
  • Proven track record in senior financial leadership roles, preferably in the transportation, rental, or leasing industry
  • Extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance management
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
  • MBA or master's degree in finance or a related field preferred
  • CPA designation highly desirable
