We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics to join our team at Eli Lilly and Company. Key Responsibilities- Provide scientific DMPK leadership and strategic direction to research project teams, ensuring the successful advancement of research compounds into development.
- Offer scientific supervision for PK/ADME studies conducted at Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
- Contribute to and influence the DMPK components in the screening funnel and criteria for compound selection and advancement in research programs.
- Implement and manage quantitative bioanalysis of plasma and other biological matrices to support pharmacokinetic, toxicokinetics, and in vitro ADME analyses of novel small molecule therapeutics.
- May supervise DMPK scientists and provide guidance on PK and PK/PD modeling using non-compartmental and compartmental models.
- Responsible for reviewing Bioanalytical and Toxicokinetic reports from non-GLP and GLP toxicology studies.
- Organize and maintain research data, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results.
- Present data at project team meetings and contribute to nonclinical PK/ADME sections in regulatory documents.
- PhD in a relevant scientific field, such as Pharmacology, Toxicology, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- 7-10+ years of work experience in Drug Discovery/Development DMPK, with a strong publication record in the area of ADME/PK.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and influence skills, with prior success in managing external vendors and coordinating in vitro metabolism, DDI, transporters, and/or protein binding studies.
- Experience in performing or supervising the execution of bioanalytical assays and the development of such assays.
- Familiarity with software tools such as ABI Analyst, Excel, WinNonlin Phoenix, and Prism.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and relationship skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
Eli Lilly and Company offers a comprehensive compensation package, including a base salary range of $180,000 to $314,000, depending on qualifications, and eligibility for a company bonus. Full-time equivalent employees are also eligible for a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits, flexible benefits, life insurance, and death benefits.
