YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Supporting the SUE Analyst in managing a SUE field crew.
  • Utilizing your skills through the safe operation of SUE field equipment, including ground penetrating radar, electromagnetic locating devices, sewer cameras, probe rods, jackhammers, chop saws, pneumatic tampers, vacuum excavation tools, and other geophysical methods.
  • Exercising caution around utility facilities and adhering to all safety protocols on-site.
  • Assisting in the upkeep of vehicles, equipment, and work areas.
  • Complying with all company policies and procedures.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent preferred, with specialized training from a vocational school or a minimum of 2 years' experience as a SUE Technician I.
  • Proficiency in using survey equipment (total stations, GPS, SUE locating tools, or hydrographic equipment).
  • Ability to walk outdoors for extended periods across various terrains, including urban, suburban, and rural settings, and work under challenging conditions (heat, cold, uneven ground, wildlife, high traffic areas).
  • Strong technical skills, process-oriented mindset, dependable, helpful, honest, adaptable, analytical, and detail-oriented.
  • Capability to lift 50 pounds and operate equipment as necessary for projects.
  • Willingness to travel within the Charlotte, NC area daily.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Availability to work 50+ hours during peak periods.
  • Ability to work independently when necessary.
  • Experience is valued, and training will be provided.
  • A current Commercial Driver's License is advantageous.
  • Employment may be contingent upon passing a background check for Nuclear Facilities.
  • Background and motor vehicle checks, along with pre-employment drug screening, are conditions of employment.
