Job Summary:

The Architectural Design Specialist plays a crucial role in promoting J. Gibson McIlvain Company's product lines to Architects, Builders, and resellers. This individual will become an expert on the manufacturing process, installation, and features of various products to advise clients and prospects on the best usage of the products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Build relationships with specifiers through in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and webinars to get our products specified.
  • Educate the marketplace on the features and benefits of our product lines.
  • Work together with the Sales team to support them in closing sales, as necessary.
  • Develop up-to-date presentations regarding the company and our products to promote marketing and sales efforts.
  • Support the development of new products and product improvements.
  • Assist in the field by conducting and analyzing market research; work with the marketing team to develop branding strategies based on the information.
  • Formulate and recommend campaign tactics and plans for product launch and ongoing marketing.
  • Create templates for presentations; revise templates as needed.
  • Research and recommend tradeshow and/or seminar options based on internal goals and strategies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent in a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.
  • Experience with web analytics and email marketing applications.
  • Experience with creative asset applications (Adobe CC, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
