Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Design Engineer to join our team at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions. As a Fire Protection Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing fire alarm and detection systems for our nuclear facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop fire alarm and detection systems for nuclear facilities
  • Produce detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications for fire protection systems
  • Support construction, startup, and testing of fire protection systems
  • Review vendor drawings and submittals for fire protection systems
  • Provide technical support to site construction forces and suppliers
  • Prepare data sheets, statements of work, procurement specifications, and purchase requisitions for fire protection systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required
  • Desirable qualifications include: Fire Protection Engineering or Registered Professional Engineer in Fire Protection, Mechanical Engineering with Fire Protection experience, or NICET Level III certification in the applicable subfield
