Electrical Service Manager Job Description

At Davison Heating, Cooling, & Plumbing, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Service Manager to lead our Electrical Department. This role will be responsible for establishing, growing, and running the department, ensuring adequate experience in all areas of the electrical trade, sales-driven professionalism, and the ability to motivate, train, and coach team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies for the Electrical Department, including truck stock inventory, service pricing, team organization, and department offerings.
  • Lead and train electrical team members, ensuring they have the necessary technical and sales knowledge.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the electrical department, working with other departments to achieve goals and revenue performance.
  • Develop and report key metrics on team performance.
  • Supervise all electrical jobs, handle customer satisfaction requests, and manage permits and inspections.
  • Drive and coach sales of electricians, and as needed, supervise large projects in the field and work with customers and technicians to quote large sales projects.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of residential electrical management experience.
  • At least a Journeyman Electrical License.
  • Residential electrical sales experience.
  • Nexstar training or similar.
  • Ability to grow, lead, and train a team of electricians and effectively work with other departments and managers.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software.
  • Excellent leadership skills and the drive to succeed and grow the department.
What You Will Bring:
  • 5+ years of residential HVAC experience, management experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational leadership skills to lead and grow a team of technicians.
  • Strong technical background in diagnostic skills on all residential and light commercial equipment.
  • Ability to train proper technical diagnostic techniques on all equipment from basic to high-efficiency inverter systems.
  • Great attitude, high energy, great communication skills, sales-driven.
  • Strong computer skills (word, excel, adobe, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass background test and drug screen.
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment and work outdoors.
