As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of space travel. We are seeking a Lead Engineer for Liquid Distribution Systems within our Fluids division, dedicated to our ambitious lunar mission.
  • You will provide essential technical guidance to your team, assisting members with their challenges and offering insights on complex technical issues.
  • Your responsibilities will include mentoring and developing your colleagues, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
  • You will oversee the entire lifecycle of fluid systems, from initial concept and interface design to detailed engineering, component fabrication, assembly, testing, and operational deployment.
  • You will be responsible for scheduling your projects, identifying potential risks, and formulating effective mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborating with both internal teams and external partners, you will design, construct, test, and evaluate components essential for our lunar endeavors.
  • Bring your technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and commitment to excellence to ensure the safety of human spaceflight. A passion for our mission is essential.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in fluid and mechanical systems or components.
  • Proven experience in developing, integrating, and certifying aerospace systems for flight.
  • Familiarity with fluid and gas components such as solenoid valves, directional valves, manifolds, regulators, pressure vessels, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while collaborating effectively.
  • Knowledge of agile or waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build trust, maintain professional relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering, particularly in requirements and interface management and verification.
  • Background in cryogenic fluids.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (preferably Creo) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools (preferably ANSYS).
  • Experience with upper stages and spacecraft.
  • Familiarity with the complete lifecycle of propulsion and fluid systems.
