Job Summary

The Event Crew 2 will primarily be responsible for assisting with the setup, strike, and support of special events, weddings, functions, and other activities. The Event work crew team will report to the Event Operations Supervisors/Managers and will be expected to drive company vehicles to complete the delivery/pickup/installation of smaller tasks with little to no supervision. Other duties may include providing general assistance and support to the department, leadership, and the company as required.

This position works various schedules, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities

1. Safely operate a box truck and ensure compliance with company safety protocols.

2. Provide exceptional customer service to internal customers and guests, ensuring a positive experience.

3. Load and unload tables, chairs, and other event/party rental items, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.

4. Set up rental equipment and test/ensure quality matches company expectations upon arrival, adhering to detailed instructions and specifications.

5. Rigging items that are 25lbs and under, such as small chandeliers, bistro lighting, and other decor, with precision and care.

6. Run and connect power requirements up to 20 amps, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

7. Complete the installation of express/high peak/pop up style tents without supervision, supporting the team with larger installations.

8. Safely operate a warehouse forklift, adhering to company safety procedures.

Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.

2. At least one (1) year of prior experience working with event setup and logistics is preferred.

3. Demonstrated commitment to providing world-class internal/external guest service.

4. Solid interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.

5. Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on quality, service, and safety.

6. Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and adapt as required.

7. Ability to take direction and understand and execute instructions successfully.

8. Proactive, with good judgment, and the ability to troubleshoot as needed.

Physical Requirements

1. Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on a regular basis with assistance.

2. Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.

3. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and/or scaffolding.

4. Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat/kneel.

5. Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 19 years of age.
