Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned marketing leader to join our team as a Director of Seller Marketing. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to attract and retain sellers on our platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a go-to-market strategy to attract new sellers and grow existing ones
  • Partner with the sales team to define and test value propositions, positioning, and messaging
  • Collaborate with paid marketing to develop core messaging, value props, and creative assets
  • Work with the lifecycle function to build content for campaigns and activate sellers
  • Partner with product and growth to tell the Whatnot B2B message across the funnel
  • Refine the in-person events strategy for growing sellers through cons and events
  • Build a highly collaborative partnership with the creative team to create content and campaigns
  • Own the measurement framework for how seller marketing efforts drive brand and business impact
Requirements
  • 10+ years of marketing experience, including time at a high-growth consumer startup
  • Proven experience in B2B marketing through chapters of hyper growth, preferably within a marketplace, e-commerce, or software space
  • SMB experience is a huge plus
  • Strong understanding of various enthusiast communities, including sports cards, trading cards, comics, coins, and fashion
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, community management tools, and data analytics tools
  • Experience in organizing and executing virtual or physical events
  • Comfort in being analytical, owning budget and ROI metrics

  • Competitive salary range: $240,000/year to $285,000/year
