Jobot is a reputable Insurance Brokerage seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Accountant to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be part of a fast-paced environment, where they will handle various accounting tasks, including but not limited to, managing budgets, accounts payable (A/P), and accounts receivable (A/R).

This role requires a proactive individual who can adapt to changes quickly, ensuring the financial operations of our business run smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage company budgets, ensuring all financial activities are within set parameters.
  • Oversee all accounts payable and receivable, ensuring payments are made and received in a timely manner.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries for management.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve financial efficiency.
  • Monitor financial transactions and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis as required by management.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in budgeting, A/P, and A/R.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
